Love is a feeling of wanting to always be with the object of your affection. It's about wanting what's best for that person and what will make them happy. It's about sitting up with a sick loved one when you're dog tired and really want to sleep. It's about cleaning up any body fluids that come with that sickness and not acting grossed out. It's about being there for them 24 hours a day. Listening, sharing, hoping and praying for them. If you can find that kind of love with anyone you are a truly lucky person.

It little difficult to answer because how can we explain the taste of nectar.. Its an emotional experience beyond our sensory perception and totaling modulated with Care, Affection, Trust and Passion ..Its an Expression of all positive qualities. But in human its so much blended with sex and devalued just a word that trowing towards opposite sex that is why "love making" is an equal word for a mating .. and we intellectually converted this word which can plug any suitable according to his/her convenience ..

Love is as unique as people are.
It has categories, but so many.
You love your favorite food, dog, house, friend, partner, mother etc all different.
At that point it is just a word meaning "positive feeling for"
Now, True Love ? ..."that's the best thing in the world, except for a M.L.T., mutton lettuce tomato sandwich when the lettuce is nice and perky and the mutton lean......"

The closest definition I have found lies in a poem by Anthony DeMello. This is the Love that is life and not simply a romantic love.
A rose is a rose, it does not try to be anything but a rose
It does not give its fragrance to one person and not to the next
The same as a tree is a tree,
It does not give its shade to one person and not to the next
Even to the man you comes to cut it down,
The tree will give its shade to that man.

Love is being with someone without reward. It's wanting more for them than you do for yourself. It's when you're more together than you are apart. Category - Emotion.

Love is not an emotion it is an action.
I Corinthians 13:4-8
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perserveres. Love never fails.

Love -is hate ,attraction, sadness, happynes, jealousy, Love is extreme attachment, love is is comprimise, love can also be painful, love is hope, peace, enjoyment, pleasure.along with agony, hurt ,despair.Love is when you want to be near that special someone just to hear their voice, see their smile, hear their laugh, feel their skin upon yours.Love is wanting to lie forever in their arms, hearing their heartbeat.feeling their warmth, listening to them talk about their day or their hobbies and because they like it ,you like it.
Love encompasses everything.
Love is truely indescrible:it can every emotion at once.it can be hate and attraction and joy and sadness all at the same time.
it can be rearranging your scheduale just so your home on time to hear their voice when they call.or it can be wanting ,yearning for their touch,to hear their voice, feel their warmth, see their smile
Love can take many forms.
It could be brotherly/sisterly love,
it can be between a parent and their child ,the parent wanting to protect, and help and teach and love.
it can be erotic love.
it can be loving your pets ,me personally my dog is the kid i'll never have.she is my baby,if anyone ever hurt her ,i would come after them and they would suffer.
love can also be between friends.simple comradere or compainship.
Love is an emotion ,but it is also many emotions at once.
The word "love"is thrown around too much these days, teenagers
think that they are or have been in love, but it's infatuation.it wont last.like one of my friends ( i met him after he broke up with her)he says that he fell in love with a girlfriend of 3 months.he's 14.that is not love .you dont know love until you have gotten your Heart broken.

Love is the art of gently leading one back to oneself. I'd catagorize love as an intangible force that can knock you to your knees in agony or lift you to the highest depths of elation.
