lol my cousin calls that "Earning your Red Wings" for the guys.
If its just like, for having sex period, yeah Im pretty sure its safe, but really totally gross.
So, have fun. Have sex, make sure its protected and safe, and only with 1 partner :P

Safe? Why not!? Clean? NO!
There is no medical reason why one wouldn't be able to have sex while on their period, however, it is a personal choice. I am one, and I'm sure there are others - who just won't do it. There are lots of women who do though, and that's great for them. I just think it's icky and I couldn't do it. Pregnancy and STI's are a complete other issue. Doesn't matter what time of the day or month, everyone is open to them at all times.

Safe against what? Pregnancy? Spontaneous combustion? :)
There have been cases of conception while on a period, tho it is rare. It's possible to conceive at any time really, but supposed to be the highest probability around day 14 or so. But if you're on some sort of birth control and are worried about other issues, you're OK.

Safe like what? You'll probably mess the sheets, or whatever, if you don't have a towel to put under you. Or you could do it in the tub. That always works. Safe as in getting preggo, no. There's always a chance for that no matter what, unless like you had your stuff inside taken out or those tube deals tied up. It might be fun though because then you don't have to use ky. woot!

The only safe sex is no sex at all. But if you must... use some form of protection and an absorbent pad or towel to catch the flow.

No , it is not safe, for your health you have to not do it. In Isalm religion, its not permissioned to do it (for the days of the period), because alote of reasons, first of these reasons, is a medical (safety). You can go and ask some specialist of these issues.

If you're asking...
You can get pregnant on your period. Sperm can live for days inside you. They can wait out your period and get the little eggy on it's way down.
