I live in PA. Want to vacation in a not so far away place where I can have a private cabin and a lake?

where my husband can fish and my dogs can run.... where can we go?

You must check out the Pennsylvania state park system.
From where you live there is a state park within 50 miles or less!
Google, PA state parks.

Lake Sebago! Its just off the Palisades, in NY. It would be about about a 3hr drive for you, depending on hat part of PA you are in. They have a lake, lake Sebego of course and great cabins. You can easily bring the entire family, when I was there I had a 4 room 8 person cabin. The price is not bad either.
