I hear alot of people talk about the roman nose and how great it looks, but it really doesn't look that great. Its big and awkward looking. Can someone help me understand ? Am I the only person that feels this way?

It's not big and awkward looking, it's aesthetically pleasing to look upon.

here's a link to an image of the statue of david which is a good example of what the "roman" nose is all about.... it's not too large and is nicely shaped.... his nose, that is ;-))

The roman nose is thought to project strength and trustworthiness. You are right it is thought to be hansom to some.

People talk that way because of the chisled features. Personally, I don't think they are so great, give me a man with rugged features. Like Charles Bronson, Steve McQueen, Lee Marvin, Robert Mitchum. Those men were handsome!

the term comes from the classical statuary. there's no reason you have to like it.
