Heard a story on the radio last evening which perhaps sums up the Welsh and the use of their language, if Bangor won at soccer on Saturday afternoon then they'd all be speaking english in the pub at night, if they lost then they'd all be speaking welsh! The commentator on Radio 5 said he was nearly fluent in welsh after 12 months which I thought was quite funny! Just thought I'd tell you!

Only a Welsh man/ woman can speak Welsh. I showed my daddy a book with Welsh words . I was about 12 years old then; many years ago. I asked my father to translate it for me, and he said that only some-one who is Welsh can understand Welsh.

I did not know that welsh was an actual language. I thought it was just an area of Britain.
