Preferably labs that study more Biology.

If you go to the library and read The Scientist, they had a list of the top labs in the US. I can't remember the month.

Off the top of my head, the best places for biology are:(excuse me if I forgot anyone) Stanford, Harvard, Johns Hopkins, Duke, Cornell, Howard Hughes Medical Institute, UC San Francisco, MIT, UCSD, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Salk Institute... there are many more. Best thing is to talk to people in the field... figure out what you are interested in

Oh, here is a website that lets you know which universities did the most important research (as based on the number of publication citations) for a five -year span from 1998-2003. This is a pretty good rating of the most famous, high level science labs.

The question is very general .
There are many famous scientist in the US but it is all based on your interest.
