The first one is classy, the second one is funky. Depends on what you are going for.

The bottom pair. The top ones are thicker and look more suited for winter wear. Plus the thicker heals work better in cold weather conditions. The bottom pair looks sleeker and better fit for an autumn wardrobe.

Neither - I would break something in the snow wearing those!
If I lived somewhere where they actually clear the sidewalks (or where it doesn't snow in September), I like the first one - the criss-cross leather in the front and the lace-up in the back make them really cute and funky!

The first pair looks more of a night out on the town accessory.
The second pair you can probably wear just about anywhere.
I like the second pair, it looks classier.
