Atleast a month. DO NOT change it right away. You need to let it heal and get used to have the jewellery in your nose. If you change it right away you could cause infection. Keep cleaning it and turning the ring two to three times a day to avoid infection.

Good for you! I love my nose piercing. I would wait at least a month if I were you, let it heal. If you play with it a lot and change your stud a lot in the first few days you really run the risk of an infection. Your nose is right in the center of your face, trust me, that's the last place you want an infection, where everyone can see it! Good luck!

Didnt the piercer tell you when you were able to take it out? Because if he/she didnt, he/she is not a very good qualified piercer. They are supposed to tell you all the facts like cleaning (how, when, with what), managing, what to avoid, and when you're able to change the piercing. I would say to not change your piercing any time soon. You need to wait a few months because it takes a few months to completely heal. I made that mistake after getting my nose pierced. I think I waited about a week before changing my stud. Then, when I was in English giving a oral report on how to bake a cake, I went to wipe somethign off with a rag, and my nose ring got caught in a "string" (I didnt notice) and "bam" my nose ring ripped out (ouch) and got lost somewhere. That really sucked!!!

Wait at least 6 weeks, or until you can move it completely without pain. Your risk from infection is higher the earlier you try to take it out.
