While I was in Ireland a couple of years ago, I fell in love with the Irish people on a whole. They seem to be a fun loving, true hearted and high spirited type of person. It was a blast talking and interacting with the people there. I would also like to add that the Irish people that I have met and known here in the states are just as wonderful. Oh, I love the accent too!

Very, very funny with an off-beat sense of humour. Friendly. Curious about the world and other people. Like discussing and arguing, interested in ideas. Feel for music and poetry. Gorgeous accent. Nice skin.

This is just based on Irish people I know. I'm sure there must be some humorless, reclusive, tone-deaf, silent types with horrible voices and spotty skin in Ireland.

Well a lot of people have the impression that the Irish are a bunch of drunks! I personally don't believe that, but everyday my Irish friends like to show me that they are.

I feel there is something special about redheads, I think the red hair is attractive...I have the Celtic Women CD. I think the culture is generally lively...and the people are especially firey. But I also think MANY Irish people are VERY racist. How many black people live in Dublin or Belfast. I enjoy learning about Irish culture. I love the stepping dance. I definately want to visit Ireland, althoughtI think VIOLENCE against black people is more previlant and tolerated there. But I feel it is a BLESSED land and very special.

What does it matter what nationality a person is? it is the individual person that matters. I have met some great Irish people, but then again, I have met some that I would not give 2-cents for. Same goes for Mexicans, Scotts, French and Indian.

I'm of Scottish ancestory and the Irish are out brothers. Like any family they fight but our history is similar. Of course the Irish are know to drink slightly more that the Scottish and hold a grudge longer.

The accent is very seductive. Best in the UK. I would like to visit someday, as I have a little bit of Irish blood (lots of Irish in Chicago) and it is such a beautiful place.

I think that the Irish are, as a group, the finest poets and authors the world has ever produced.

I also feel, although I can't say why, that the very soil of Ireland is sacred, and those who live there are blessed.

AND...it is impossible to deny anything to someone with that accent.

I think they are wonderful people with a tendency to drink to enjoy themselves.
Once I have worked with an Iris bar tender, and he was the nicest person you can ever think off.
One time i had an Iris girl worked for me and what I liked about her that she uses her hands a lot
She can tell a joke and kick with the elbow and that alone made us laugh.
I wish I have married and Irish girl, they are cool
Good luck man and just don't over drink, LOL

As a generalization (no mean to offend but hey you asked) I picture Irish people with pale white skin with red hair, Catholic and like to drink a lot.
