It's pretty damn obvious. Still, it was a scary movie, but had the design been more original...it could've been more effective.

Yes and no; as far as we've been able to find examples of it, cave-dwelling species tend to have a lot less pigmentation than those that see the light of day. In an environment with no light whatsoever, coloration confers no evolutionary advantage (like bright plumage or fur patterns, to attract a mate), especially when most of the species that evolved in caves also tend to blind. So as far as pale, hairless skin, Gollum and our sub-human cannibals have a lot in common, as far as their environment is concerned. At least the cannibals didn't run around say, "Precioussssssss!!"

i just watched it couple hours ago, i dont think it looks like golumn, it looked very diff. these things had more of a white skin, n were bigger, golumn had a dark type of skin n was very skinny.
