My location is near the highway, but inside a trailer park. What do I need to do to get people to come over to my place?

There are two different kinds of garage salers. Some look in the paper, and some drive around looking for signs. Be sure to advertise in several different papers, also make sure to post lots of signs. Put something distinctive next to each of your signs, (like a red balloon) so it's easy for people to track your garagesale if there are more than one sign on a pole. Put a chair at the entrance to your trailer park with red balloons also. Then also put red balloons at your trailer. Also don't put too much information on each sign. Make the writing very large and easy to read. Just put your address and an arrow pointing the direction. If there's too much information then they've driven past before they can read it all. Good Bless

This has really brought people into my garage sales... you need to have your car on near the highway with big signs taped on the front windshield and the back. Just write GARAGE SALE... and make a large arrow. By your trailer park, you can do the same thing with another car or just have a nice large sign with an arrow. What worked best for me? A very large pink poster board and black shoe polish! Yes, you can make real nice large letters with that shoe polish!

Avid "yard salers" have keen eyesight...Place a easy to read sign YARD SALE with an arrow pointing towards the road-you may want to attach a couple of Helium balloons to it..then another sign (if needed) once inside the park. Advertising ahead of time in the local paper is good too. Good luck
PS(be prepared-if you give a time of 8am-they'll be there at 6am!)
LOL

Advertise your sale here: http://www.yardhopper.com

If you don't have an easy to map address, you'll need to put up signs.

You can build and print Garage Sale signs here: http://www.yardhopper.com/sign.php

Good luck.

advertise in local and area newspapers...post signs on the highway, the entrance to the park, and at your yard. For future yard sales...you may want to get your park neighbors involved in a neighborhood sale. This way everyone who wishes to participate holds a sale on the same day and this draws crowds because people can park once and walk from sale to sale

perhaps you can try Google adwords to market your service/product.

Google adwords is a text-based system for advertising on its site and its partner sites. The service allows you to create your own ads, choose keywords to help match your ads to your audience, and control the cost of your advertising—you pay only when people click on your ad (a cost per click plan). Anyone wishing to promote a product on Google can enroll in this program.
