Ok, so How big a dosage of birth control does it take to have an abortion/miscarriage without overdosing on birth control? One of my friends might be pregnant, and she insists she'll get an abortion one way or another, even if she has to have someone hit her in the stomach, which could cause more damage then she would mean too... With the recent law being passed here that says someone under the age of 18 can't get an abortion, she's kind of stuck. I just want the safest way for her to have an abortion or miscarriage, even though I don't believe in that... I just don't want her to hurt herself. I'm trying to get her to reconsider, but if all else fails I at least want her to be safe. Help.

I realize abortion is wrong, I totally agree with that 100%, but I can't get her to consider another option. She's only 14, and she's worried about school, because she's already got her Colleges lined up. I realize that doesn't excuse her, but if there is another way for me to convince her, believe me, I'll try, just like I'll continue to anyway, but IF I should fail, I want to be able to give her a safe way to take care of it. And she can't go to her family, because they will completely disown her... So she's desperate... which isnt good.

I wouldn't use anything like this unless it's absolutely last resort. I plan on doing everything I can to stop her from doing this, even if it would mean adopting the child myself... but she doesn't seem too keen on the idea of adoption either. But then that's where the whole family disowning comes in, I'm sure.

High doses of estrogen that are used for the morning after pill are only effective to stop a pregnancy before it happens not cause an abortion. I am sure that her parents will not disown her, they may be very angry for a while but trust me as long as she is up fornt and honest things will be fine. She needs to tell her parents ASAP. She needs to see a doctor for prenatal care very early in her pregnancy. Talk her through it and be her support, it's the best thing that you can do for her. GOOD LUCK.

She is underage and you want to help her right? Talk to your Mom, her Mom, someone at planned parenthood, call a crisis hot line. Do something proactive to help your friend. If she gets mad at you, so what, at least you have the satisfaction of knowing that you may have saved HER LIFE!! Her choices could result in serious injury.

Dude! Using birth control to kill your friend's unborn child is not the answer. Abortion is wrong, period. I know I sound harsh, but there are other ways. Has she thought about adoption? Don't kill a human life just because its an 'inconvinece'.

Don't take matters into your own hands.
