I can understand your frustration, thus why I answer questions and why I don't ask many of them. A lot of people don't take life seriously and could care less to help someone out, no matter what the question might be.. This yahoo answers website is a game to a lot of people and they just want to brag about having a lot of points rather than giving good advice or answering in a mature manner. But not everyone is like that, you just have to ignore the ones that are.. Take the good answers, leave the bad and use what you need.. The jerks will end up paying their dues in life based on what they do to other people.. learn from it all, become a better person, because they show you the kind of person you don't want to be!

Because, sometimes when someone asks a dumb question, some of us like to have a little fun, and give a dumb answer, which the person asking the question might take it as if we were being assholes. So you must have asked some dumb questions, to get some dumb answers by us, the so called assholes. Where's my million dollars for answering??? LOL

It depends on who answers your question. Some people might be offended by your question for some reason, and answer with less than the most tact they can muster. Others are simply jackasses who enjoy making fun of people, regardless of whether your question has merit or not. And thirdly, since Yahoo! Answers is a place that attracts know-it-alls in droves, they may simply look down on you for being so ignorant that you don't KNOW the answer to your own question, even though it's so PAINFULLY obvious, even the biggest moron in the WORLD knows THAT!!

Unfortunately, you're not going to be able to get away from that, because folks suffering from cranial-rectal inversion are legion, especially on here; I've reported one guy for harassing me because I answered his question about evolutionary theory and said something about evidence and experimental proof, and he went OFF on me about it... silly me to light the fuse on that particular powder keg. The best you can do is just ignore them, or report them if they get really hostile.

Who says they are? You're the one using such an ugly word. Look people have every right to express their opinions and guess what you and I may not like most of what they have to say, but that's the beauty of this forum.

Embrace it for what it is and leave the judgements at home.

Because the internet offers anonymity, so people feel they can be rude and vulgar to others with no repercussions. It takes a special kind of bravery to insult people while hiding behind a keyboard.

Well, they are everywhere, so it stands to reason that some would migrate here too.
