I see those skinny tapered legged 80s jeans everywhere. Unless you are super skinny or shaped like a boy, you don't look good in these. Why are they back? Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy God Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?

Believe it or not, fashion is cyclical. What was in fashion once goes out of fashion, and it comes back again.

Right now, there are a lot of 70s fashions that no one would be caught wearing in the 90s. Like women with big sunglasses. No woman I know would have been caught dead wearing them in the 90s. But now they are tres cool.

So everything has its cycle. And recycle. Don't sweat it. Fashion is fickle and whatever is cool now will be gone tomorrow (again).

Unfortunately, a LOT of 80s stuff seems to be coming back. There is a Bubblicious commercial on Nickelodeon that looks like it was shot in 1981, but Lebron James is in it, so I know it's a new one. Freaked me out when I saw it. The clothes and hair styles are right out of the 80s. Hopefully this time around people will leave the leg warmers alone.

Why? Because jeans shouldn't fit like you can fit 30 people in them with you.

I'm not shaped like a boy and not super skinny and you know what? Those jeans always looked mighty fine on me. I was actually tapering my jeans long before they started being sold that way.

Hey, now you know how I've felt all these years that this disgusting bell-bottomed/flare-legged garbage has been popular. I haven't owned a pair of jeans or slacks in years because of this crap, and my daughter hasn't either...she looks absolutely awful in non-tapered leggings.

If you think large people look bad in 80's type jeans, dare I say it's far less attractive to see low-rise waist lines on those of us who are metobollically challenged. I'd rather squeeze the fat rolls IN to a pair of jeans than let 'em hang out for everyone to count.

fashion trends tend to run in cycles, styles come back every 20-25 years or so. lots of people cringed when the low rise flared jeans came back. i hope most teenagers don't really believe they were the first to wear them. you might just be the one cringing when they come back into style 20 years from now because you prefer a different style by then. when the *80s jeans* become much more popular, and they will, the people who think they're such individuals who don't want to look like everyone else will be wearing them and looking like everyone else. don't worry, this too shall pass.

Because everything..... even fashion goes in a circle and it is 80's time again just like culottes or Liberace blouses. Luckily you have options there are all kinds of other jeans available and you an choose just go with a darker jean.

Very very uncomfortable. I don't like anything that tight and I don't really think they compliment anyone. (Unless you look like a stick and I've seen some women in them who should not be wearing them.) And no, I am not fat. Never been. I am actually very slim, blessed with long legs and a nice butt but just don't like those awful jeans. Beurk! As someone wrote, they won't last so just keep this in mind: "This too shall pass." :)

They fit horrible & look bad to me too!!! I weigh 127 5ft 3 (dr.'s office scales) and do have a "woman" figure. I can't find a size under 12 that fits what's up with that? If you're anerexic hey go for it, I'm so sick of Nicole, Lindsay, etc. starving themselves to look like skeletor! Marilyn Monroe was size 13 and looked darn good. Bless Dove products for advertising REAL WOMEN. I ain't starving myself for anyone, it's not worth your bones going brittle and loosing your health for a public that doesn't even care! One more thing, the crotch is so darn low that I feel like I can't even sit comfortably, I go for the nice mini-skirt look it looks and feels nice!

I look good in them and I'm not skin and bones. Those skinny tapered legs look hot compared to those baggy flaring jeans.
