The movie itself is to be released December 15 but no one knows about the trailer yet. But you can get an idea about how GREAT the movie will be by visiting the website www.eragonmovie.com .
I love the costumes and I think the choices they made for the actors are fabulous ( although I don't know most of them ;) but they certainly look the part

A few days ago 20th Century Fox contacted the Eragon Fan Site http://www.shurtugal.com and gave them information on the trailer.
They said that the trailer was going to be releasing with Snakes on a Plane set to hit theaters August 18th.
Keep in mind that the trailer has been delayed twice already (from X3 and Superman) so you never know with Fox.
If the trailer is released you can see it in theaters or you can see it online which is usually released a day before the trailer hit's the big screen.

I'm not sure when you can see the trailer on t.v.. I heard someone say it in th movie theatre. But if you go to IMDB.com you can watch it. Just type Eragon in the search.
