My favorite anime is and will always be Gundam Wing. But when it comes to the best anime I have to say the Gundam Series. They are like the best animes you would ever see(maybe not Seed or SD force) They have basically anything you look for in a anime. They always have romance, action, comedy, violence, tragedy, something weird, bishonens, bishojos, basically everything you would want(maybe not hentai...I'm not sure) I mean there's a reason why there's one made practically every year. Plus it always has a great soundtrack. Also some gundam series features people from different countries so its not just a all Japanese cast. Such as Gundam Wing that has the five main pilots from japan, American, some Spanish country(its never been told from which one but the person it Latin) Arabia, and china. Also the rest of cast comes from some European countries.

My favorite anime is an 80's TV show called Tranzor Z, in which a young boy is given a giant super-robot to fight crime. His dying uncle, the inventor of the machine, explains that it is piloted from a separate hovercraft which launches from a secret cave. The robot rises from beneath a swimming pool when it is called upon by the boy from the hovercraft, which then links with the huge robot's head for battle. The way the robot and hovercraft were stored and accessed when needed was one of the coolest parts. Similar to Voltron (or Batman, for that matter) the boy had a secret access to the hovercraft through a series of underground tunnels. The music and action were top-notch. Tranzor Z was based on a nearly identical but darker series from Japan called Mazinger Z.

depends really on your taste. I have a thing for bishounen type of anime. So my favorite is Ouran Host club. If you like magical girl styles the best would be Card Captor Sakura because of the graphics and the character development. Harem style; I'm a bit partial to Tenchi Muyo. Those who like humorous ecchi Golden boy. And for action my favorite would be Full metal alchemist. But the very best that I have seen in terms of plot, character development, graphicsand soundtrack would be Elfen Lied. It is not in anyway funny, it is absolutely serious and philosophical but still it grips you from the very start. It is actually R rated but not really for the nudity but more from the violence. If you have not seen this anime then you will deprived of the experience of your life.

I favor the old school Anime, like Robotech, Urusei Yatsura and Galaxy Express 999, but there is something to be said for stuff like Tenchi Muyo and Love Hina. Good deals.

Eh. I've never had much time for much anime stuff. But I like Inuyasha a lot. It's plot line was good while it was still on the air here and then they took it off so it became impossible and...I'm not giving my lifestory as an answerr. My response is: Inuyasha. Yeah. So. Bugger off.

i am relatively new and i konw there is a whole untapped world of good anime out there, but so far , in terms of pure quality i'd go with Naruto and The Prince of Tennis/ the reason is character development. both shows really focus on characters the most.
