I want to rent this movie that I heard is really good. It doesn't have porn or violence or anything like that on it. If I go to the video store by my self, can I rent it, or do I need a license or something? I know this is a lame question, but I really want to see this movie.

Yes and no. Technically, you're not supposed to be able to rent an R-rated movie until you're 17. Some people don't check your age, or just don't care, so you might be able to get away with it. However, you're really not supposed to. If it's not a bad movie, we wonder why it's rated R; however, you should talk to your parents to see what they think. They could always rent it for (and watch it with, if needed) you. Sorry, but that's the best advice anyone will be able to give you. Hope it works out.

no, you personally cannot rent an R rated movie at 14. You have to be 17 or older.

Okay, if there is no violence or porn why is it rated R. No legally you cannot rent this movie. Ask your parents about it. I know this is not what you want to hear. Sorry

Switch the disc with the one in a PG box and rent the PG. Or just steal the damn thing. Or wait 4 years, it will be cheaper then.

Some people do not pay attention to your age but most do. So I would either ask someone to get it for me or just take it to the counter and dont say anything. It might work. But I would just ask my parents because they always seem to find out about things like this. =)
