no ...I don't look at others to see the mistakes that they have made..I have made a lot of mistakes myself.... everyone has made mistakes in some way in their lives...and when I hear about others that has made a mistake that I feel bad for them and do pray for them, plus that helps me to know that I am not the only one that makes mistakes in this world, that I am not alone, and helps me to be stronger and do better and to keep trying to over come my own mistakes...

I don't think it's wrong...it just means you're learning by observation. I had rather learn from others' mistakes than by learning the hard way myself, hadn't you ? I do this myself but I also know that I have also made bad decisions in my life and some people have probably observed mine and felt the same way about me as I have about seeing others who have messed up "worse" than me. We all learn from each other and it helps us appreciate what we do have when we are able to observe others' lives and it helps us keep things in perspective

Not at all..I was one of those people with a messed up life...I went back to college..got a degree..and am now a Rn. I have never felt better! people have potential if they aren't too busy seeing what is so wrong with their lives and dwelling on it..If they choose to be bitter and such...power to ya is what I say..but there is a world out there and I am going out to get my Dolce and Gabanna shoes because I earned them

Measuring your worth by comparing it to others is a rough way to live. If those with "messed up" lives make you feel better about yours, do people with enormous success make you feel worse?

Yes. Why measure your life based on the failures of others? Feel better about your accomplishments, move forward, and provide help and assistance for those in misery.

Just as long as you aren't making the person feel worse about themselves. If you want to give them a good laugh show them your picture.

no, as long as you are not gloating...like the average girl dragging around the ugly one to make herself look better...just be thankful that you made some good decisions.

I think it's honest. And I think most people do it. And hopefully it makes us appreciate what we have and less concerned with what we don't
