A *happy* state is the best state to live in. With a positive attitude, the whole world seems such a wonderful place. :-)

I don't think there is a best state to live in. Different states work for different people. Some people prefer southern or warmer states, some prefer densely populated states, while others prefer largely populated states.

State of confusion
or
North Carolina
you got the mountains on one side with skiing, fishing, sightseeing, the beaches on the other, with same amenities, great lakes to fish and swim, a lot of historic places, you get to experience all the seasons, awesome dogwood trees and azaela bushes, a good mix of folks from everywhere, and great sweet tea

Iowa is great. Lots of corn, hog confinements, very little traffic. Good schools, no smog, hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Not overly populated, because everyone leaves the state after they graduate from college.

Drunkenness, then on the bad days, it is just a few steps to forget all the problems in your life.
I would also say Tennesse. Beautiful, lots of things to do, and a lot of jobs (where I used to live anyway). I would also say NOT Michigan, I live there now and it sucks!

California.... no wait there's a lot of earthquakes and mud slides there. Uhhhh.... Oklahoma. But if there were no mud slides and stuff I would totally chose Calif. Or Florida. But since I live in Oklahoma I gotta say it cuz in other states it's too cold or too... something else. lol.

Florida! No... Hm.... I'd say California, but I've never been there... It's all the way on the other side of the U.S.
