Arab Terrorists have been attacking them for as long as I can remember. They've been defending themselves for as long as I can remember.
Are you suggesting that perhaps Israel should just sit on their butt while they are attacked? Should they sit quietly, while terrorists blow themselves up in their coffee houses, pizza parlors, grocery stores, bus terminals.. etc. etc. etc. ??? Should they sit quietly and sip coffee while terrorists hurl rockets and missiles at their cities?
Israel is under attack, and has every right to defend itself. A terrorist organization has siezed power in Lebanon, and is attacking Israel while the government does nothing to stop them.

I support Israel's right to defend themselves. I believe that this invasion was provoked, Hezbollah has had rockets pointed at Israel for a long time now in violation of peace treaties that has been brokered. Lebanon has been harboring and giving aid to Hezbollah, there by they have guilt by association. Hezbollah are the ones that are prompting these invasions, they could surrender, but they won't, and I don't think that Israel should, ither, until they are certain that Hezbollah is no longer a threat. I am deeply saddened by the loss of life that these invasions have incurred, but when did Lebanese children's lives begin to mean more than Israeli children? There are people dying on both sides, and I know that Israel has done all that it can to minimize Lebanese casualties by dropping pamphlets and leaflets, warning civilians to evacuate. Do you think that Hezbollah does this for Israel? No.

Yes. It seems that violence is the only constant in the middle east environment. They have fought each other for centuries, and now Israel is in the equation, and has been for over fifty years.
As long as there are fanatical Islamic religious sects who want to try to destroy Israel or each other, there will be violence.
Israel is trying to create a buffer zone to get the missiles stopped. I hope they succeed.

YES, 100% ABSOLUTELY...the sooner they destroy Hezbollah, the sooner the Lebanese can have their country back, and rebuild Lebanon, to its previous glorious days!!! the middle East can finally have some tranquility, when Syria and Iran stick their big fat noses back where they belong, in their own business, and out of Lebanon !! then Israel can have some peace too, maybe??, and all the neighboring countries might be able to achieve some peace and prosperity, they all so rightfully deserve !! SHALOM AT LAST !!! PEACE AT LAST !!!
