This is a relatively simple task so If you are asking this question it means you have few electrical skills so the best and safest thing for you and your family would be to get a qualified electrician.
However, in this part of the wood, what I would do is the folowing:
make sure there is no electricity going into the fluorescent light fitting.
Unscrew fluoroscent light fitting and unscrew the two wires going into it.
You should now be left with two wires.
Get a normal light fitting.
Screw these two wires into the fitting (where they go)
screw in the fitting to the wall / ceiling
screw in the light
switch on.

I certainly have under no circumstances heard of a battery in a demanding under pressure fluorescent mild fixture. The alternative fluorescent mild tubes are very decrease priced and that's the placement to start somewhat if the tubes are black on the two end, indicating age. the only different subject linked with a flickering fluorescent fixture is a defective ballast. The ballast is a gadget which "starts" a fluoescent mild. It style of , powers up, which you will desire to communicate. maximum ballasts are very almost as high priced as a sparkling fixture until your fixture is a custom. changing a ballast includes rewiring the fixture and having an electrician come over would be outrageous different than for a commercial application. changing a ballast is a soreness interior the backside. a prevalent alternative 2 buld fixture could be offered at a ironmongery shop for around $25-$50. i can set up it by using myself yet I certainly have put in hundreds of them. in case you and a girl pal/boyfriend choose to handle it, i'd say it must be a 2 individual interest with a controversy score of two out of 5 hammers. only turn off the means first.

Just replace the light socket fixture with one for an incondescent bulb. Find out which wire is hot and connect it to the hot screw on the socket. The ground goes to the other and you attach the socket with the supplied nut.

Red to red.....Black to black and Green to Green if you have green ( Grounding). If you know as little as you do, the safest way is to call in and electrician. You will probably set fire to your house some night in 5 years time while you are asleep by doing DIY electrical work.
