I live in Kentucky. I like it here because cost of living is low, there are a lot of great attractions in the state, and we are home to the Kentucky Derby, the fastest 2 minutes in Sports History. We are in the works of getting huge basketball arena in Louisville, and hopefully land an NBA team.

Also, the weather here isn't all the bad, it get hot and snows so we get the best of both worlds.

That is a odd, question. No state is better due to the fact it is what you are looking for while in the state. Are there more jobs here vs there? It is more safe that another state? Crime higher or lower? I have lived in all the states. I hated Louisana, it has issues with race. Rhode Island is just messed up, lots of gays, crime in the state captial, and the orther two are bout the same. Low jobs, lots of people looking for hand outs. You just need to make the best of each state, all states have their good and bad. I am from Wyoming. One month of summer and eleven months of snow and cold. But lot of open, clean air. So it goes.

Well, Illinois has a big problem up north with crooks and is a big money sink. Louisana has the same problem but in the south. That leaves RI and Ky which are very different from each other. Of those 2 I believe I would pick Ky because of the more central location and the generally warmer (but not too hot) climate. Also, it is generally rural with lots of recreational activities.

Out of those options, I would choose Illinois. My second choice would probably be Rhode Island.

Kentucky isn't so bad. I used to live in Fort Mitchell, just south of Cincinnati. It was a great neighborhood with big-city life just across the river. The housing market is affordable, great jobs, and a large airport nearby. Cincinnati culture is one of America's best kept secrets.

I'd have to pass on all four.

Wait, New Orleans is a great town. So the rest of LA isn't so hot, but the Big Easy is a great place...
