Yes, some small companies will pay a small fee for your trees if they are of a viable size to make lumber with.
It isn't a lot of money, and depending on the company, you may have to use it to clean up the mess they make.
Also, some portable sawmills will come in, make lumber of your trees, haul off the trash and pay you a small sum of money.
It really depends on your locality.
Pine trees use different setups at the lumbermill than oak, so you may try to sell them to two different companies that specialize in that.

RE:
Do I need to call a tree removal service or are there companies that will cut down trees free or even pay me?
My inlaws have about 5 huge pines and around 10 oak trees that need to be removed but they cannot afford to pay a removal service. Are there companies or small lumber businesses that will either remove the trees free of charge or even pay a small amount to have the lumber?

Trees -renewable (somewhat) -cleared for further development -intentional cutting (killing pests to save other trees) -made into houses, canoes or other products that can be sold for money (poor people) You will most likely be facing answers originating to environmental issues and how cutting down of trees ultimately destroys the soil. One of the unbeatable counterarguments will be that people in poverty WILL HAVE TO rely on trees for their income to survive. Life is more important than trees. With this, they might ask questions relating to cutting down of trees in more developed countries. Here you can counter argue about profits and the immense need for paper. Ask them if they can live without paper, thus no books and no school. As for environment issues, you can say that trees are renewable in terms that they can be replanted. But they will definitely, in some areas, say the trees are not being replanted. For this, there is no true counterargument except for the fact that trees can be planted in the future, deserts cleared away, etc. In conclusion, I'd say that if I was you, I'd research and make arguments on the points that you are least afraid to be refuted about. And try to talk until your opponents try to switch topics, the silence. Try not to get yourself in uncomfortable situations and ultimately lose the debate. Despite the fact that doing this isn't right, if you want a good mark and destroy your opponents, its the way to go. Depending on which grade you are in, the style and deepness of research and arguments can be adjusted.

We had two palm trees in our front yard. We actually had a person show up and offer us 1000 back in the 90s. He removed the trees and they are now somewhere at the Luxor in Las Vegas. I would contact local nurseries and see who might transplant trees. When they first came they just wanted to remove them for free, we had to negotiate for the cash.

Put an ad in your local paper, or put up a sign at the local coffee shop. Lots of folks will cut down a tree and clean up the mess for the wood!

Is this within city limits and are the trees violating any city ordinances? If so, you must be very careful in the removal of the trees. The city could fine you for their removal. If not, contact local nurseries and offer them the trees.

LOL,,,,,,,,,Good Luck sweets,,,,,,I don't know where you're at ,,,,but here in South Florida , with all the storms we get,,,,,you're lucky to get a weed pulled for less than $100.00,,,,,,There is NO National crisis for lumber yet (as far as I know),,,,and until a pack of writing paper goes up to $10.00 a pack,,,,I'm pretty sure you're gonna pay thru the bloomers to get a tree taken out,,,,good luck tho
