It sure as heck seems that way. I haven't seen a liberal with a solution to combat Islamofascism except appeasement.

It looks like the democrats want to shrug off history and act like Islamofascism was started by Bush.

Well, there you go. The proof and the evidence to back it up. My guess is that you won't get alot of argument with those facts other than "We started it, we should keep our business here in America and not poke out nose where it doesn't belong." My question is What is so appealing about appeasement to people today? Have we gotten so complacent on our day to day lives here in America (Anywhere but in New York...plus the dust that has settled over the last 5 years) that many people don't see Terrorism as a threat to them? Do people think that an Islamofascist will give them a pass and believe that they were sympathetic before blowing up the buss that the American and their children are on? No! The death of every American and Israeli man, woman and child is an enormous victory for them, because it spreads fear. I think that appeasement is very appealing to America today because if many Americans were told to "Convert or Die," They would convert. I cannot believe how our great nation has gotten so spineless so fast.

Given the nature of American politics, the party out of the White House simply takes the opposite position on almost any policy, be it domestic or foreign. If the Dems held the Presidency, I be live the situation would be about the same, but the enemy is thrilled when we attack ourselves and become divided, thus, weak. America is a big bully that is what this all comes down to. A circus, if you will, whose ringmaster is G.W. Bush. What republicans fail to realize is that Bush is not so great after all. The soldiers who are "fighting" in Iraq and other countries are not fighting for freedom from terrorism, they are fighting for oil. Plain and Simple. We tear down there country only to re-build. Does that seem right. How can democrats envision a world in burkhas when we are the ones who are against war in the first place. How can you justify that the democrats are the ones who ask for terrorism yet we are the ones who debate it? I'm scared to live in America (run by George Bush) because I know that he is basically aiding to terrorism in showing them (Iraq and so on) terrorism. Can you honestly say that all terrorist acts are because of democrats? It makes me sad to know that we live in a country ran by a man that hesitated for 20 minutes without a flinch after learning of 9-11. (Watch Fahrenheit 9/11) We retaliate to what we know it seems and so far with Bush in office all this country knows is terrorism.

ummm........ well, since you're so quick to talk about fascism, you think its ok that the current cabinet just takes away our constitutional rights when it suits them? think about it, they're trying to force democracy into another part of the world.... by definition, democracy needs to be a choice.... so, thats kinda sounding like fascism to me right there....

i dont think the democrats would have had all the answers, and i dont think they'd have some magical way of stopping the things that happen due to foreign lunatics, but i think theres a better way than fighting irrational religious zealots than using more maniacal religious zealotry.

and if anyone thinks that things will get better in the middle east by us being over there forcing our will on others, they probably need full time special care. these people attack us on the other side of the planet because we dont live the way we want, thats a very special type of crazy, and attacking them back on their side of the earth isnt going to help. theres always going to be dissenters of that type somewhere, the only way to stop it would be to strip everyone of all personal freedoms and gaurd everyone 24 hours a day with threats of violence, and forcing a way of life on them. including you and me.... so, i'll take my chances of getting bombed, and live free. i'd rather live free and die because i did than live in total seclusion and fear of everything in life.
