now Ive read the bible and I am still verry open to other ideas. what I mean is what if there could have been a way more advanced race before them and they needed to start over and just let adam and eve have a fresh start. I believe that this story is a myth as the bible tells it but I believe even myths are based on some truth.

the story is an allegory for the rise of the current race of humanity. if you read about the various off the wall theories of mankind, such as atlantis, mu, and some others, it makes sense that mankind has been developing and moving forward for many hundreds of thousands of years, not a few thousand. the mayan people believed that this is the fourth period of man, and the next would be starting in 2012. i don't say yes or no, but neither do i say we came from a mud pile six thousand years ago. i can except very many ideas, but as far as i know, none is reallyproven as actual fact because the evidence is just not sufficient to prove any one theory is correct. perhaps someone will find an answer, but i doubt i'll be alive that long.

Its all just made up man.
It was all made up by people before there was TV when people used their imaginations to kill time around the fire. These stories got passed down from generation to generation by word of mouth and eventually became accepted as true by people when their origins were gone from living memory and when we learned writing.
You have to understand that writing and reading was magical back then and having something written made it true, no matter how ridiculous it was. This even holds true today for modern man. We tend to believe what we read, especially if it reinforces preconceived notions and ideas we have been indoctrinated with since birth.
There is no difference from the Christ Cultist today who sites the bible as true or to support their beliefs and an ignorant peasant 3000 years ago. They just dress and smell better these days.
We really haven't evolved much in 2000 years, just got better toys to play with, perhaps a little wiser but not much.

Adam and Eve were parameciums. Adam reproduced asexually and produced Eve, who them reproduced sexually with Adam.
How's that for an alternative theory.
