put it into first gear and slowley let off the clutch if it starts moving then the clutch should good if it dont then you clutch is bad but if you having issues in switching gears thens that a tranny problem somethnig might have to fixed or ajusted i would take it to motor cyle shop and have a free estimate done

If the clutch is going bad, the lever/cable will need unusually frequent adjustment. If the clutch is shot, even with adjustment at max the bike will creep whe in gear and cluth pulled in. The opposite end of the spectrum is slippage, with the cable adjusted properly( a little end play) when engaged the clutch will slip when the bike is accelerated hard. A new set of friction plates would solve the problem. Be sure the cable is adjusted right and the correct amount of Spotrtrans or equivelent is in the primary.

you will have trouble engaging the gears or with accleration. most common is with accleration, the bike will not want to go, engine will speed up - bike wont. occasionally the clutch wont disengage, then you would have difficulity putting the bike in gear. however there are other problems that could create shift dificulities too.

for one thing it wont pull its own weight,,another thing it might do is slip real bad when you go to 3rd or 4th gear,,they can sometimes be adjusted and it will help them,,and sometimes not i had to replace mine,,but o got a few more months riding from it,,hope this help,s

It makes lots of 'Blacksmith' type noises,like they all do - but it won't move anyware much!
