what are good rules for a first time threesome does anybody have ideas or advice on what kind of rules one should have and should they have a little time alone on a date or in the room?

Rule #1. make sure ALL parties are willing to do this because they want to for themselves.
Rule #2. as a guy make sure your stamina can and will hold true through the entire session.
Rule #3. make sure the girls are NOT friends and NEVER become friends after
Rule#4. you can not do this with a female that has feeling involved or YOU will be in trouble.
Rule #5. make sure the girsl go at it first, this way you can see who is really into it or not.....it's helpful for you to kinda play the "director".
Rule #5. make sure EVERYONE is doing something......there are too amny positions for 1 to be left out.
Rule # 6. keep lube handy & ready
Rule #7. start off by playing a drinking or naught dice game just to loosen everyone's spirits.
Rule #8. condoms are a must....u dont want to acidentally bust & 9 months later......rest is history....or WORSE
Rule #9 change condoms after each girl....even though they may be down on each other the whole thaught is just eww!!!!
Rule #10. DONT separate or segregate anyone.
BONUS.......just dont do it if you are in a relationship with one of them......VERY bad!!!!!

Well if this is your first time 3some. As a couple you should set some rules and boundaries. Like make sure to do things equally. If you are having a mmf make sure she is even about it and not totally onto him. if vice versa and ffm then spend equal time. Don't spend to much time with one person because then if you are the couple it might feel like you like that more than her/him. Make sure you know as a couple it should only be done as a couple and no alone time. Unless you are cool with that. Also, if you want you should know or set dos and donts. Sometimes if it is your first time people talk it over with all 3 and decide this or you can do it among the couple.

From what I've heard from others the common rules (if there's a couple and a 3rd wheel are: 1) no kissing the 3rd wheel, it's too personal. 2) no cuddling - again too personal.
Now if there's no couple involved, and it's just 3 people, I haven't really heard of any rules other than to not try to trick someone into it, be sure that everyone is on the same page first.

What kind of threesome are you planning. 2 girls and guy or 2 guys and a girl? I took part in a 2 guys and a girl, she was married to the other guy, We talked about the " rules" before we got started, the plan was to make her orgasm as many times as possible and he was to keep his body away from me. If you are single, you MUST have a threesome at least once so you can cross it off your to-do list. Make sure you find both of them attractive, preferably two different types of attractive.
Assuming these are you (male) and two females, if you are in an relationship with one of them, be sure this is what you both want, otherwise, it's a real relationship wrecker.
Pay attention to everyone, don't play favorites
Use protection. If you are using condoms, don't double dip (use same condom on both girls). Otherwise, condoms are pretty useless, at least from their perspective)

1. Don't choose someone you know to be the third party. It makes things weird.
2. Your lady won't be able to handle this, once all is said and done. She thinks she can, because you're all hyped about it and she wants to please you/turn you on, but afterwards, she'll get suspicious of you and jealous of any girl who comes within 10' of you. So this rule is to know this fact.
