15 and older...it's your mom's decision so respect it. Her opinion most likley has nothing to do with the fact that you know how to apply it, but just the fact that you're too young.

my daughter is 13. We let her wear lip gloss, LIGHTER shades of lipstick, and just a bit of foundation. Your mom doesn't want you getting too old too fast. Sadly, there are a lot of men/boys out there that do not have repect for you. -just because you are a girl. Makeup can make you in some cases seem a few years older. That can cause you some trouble- ask your mom what that might mean.
If you want to wear make up just because others are-thats silly. Be yourself, enjoy being a young lady.

Ultimately, it is up to your mother. However, I see nothing with wearing makeup at 14. Continue to wear it around the house, but show your mother you can wear it responsibly. Tone it down a little. Be tasteful and elegant. Use less makeup than you would like to. Your mother may begin to see things your way after she knows you won't abuse the privilege. Ask her if you can put on a little when you go somewhere with her, like shopping, etc. Be slow and get her used to it.

A good age is 14. I put on lip gloss and mascara, and a little bit of eyeliner. as long as you don't over do it you should be fine. Oh, yeah. Just tell your mom that you respect her decision, but ask her if you can just start out with lip gloss. And then maybe when the time is right you could ask her if you could wear mascara or something.

I think 14 is completely an old enough age for a girl to wear make-up especially since alot of 14 year olds look older then their age. Its too wierd when little girls wear make-up.

I was about 13. My mom let me wear makeup then only because I was going into middle school. If it's really that important, sit her down and have a talk with her. if that doesn't work, I think you will just have to live with it. Good luck though!

i started wearing makeup when i was young...probably around 10 or 11, but nothing big...just a little lipgloss and some eyeshadow. i think that girls should start wearing makeup w hen they feel that they are ready...or they're parents think so. to convince your mom to let you wear a little makeup, start off asking her if you can wear some lipgloss and eyeshadow out in public. tell her you dont want to look like a different girl...you just want to eccentuate your natural features with some basic makeup in basic colors...nothing to extravagant. then, if all works out, advance into mascara, eyeliner, foundation, whichever suits you (and your mom).

happy makeup wearing!
