I love peace and I hate any war or killing civilans,I don't agree most of the Isreal's policies .But we have to face the fact, the fact is the Jews have had dominion over the land since 1272. Isreal became a nation in 1312 B.C.,King David established the city of Jerusalem as the capital. The history tell us the Jews had been there for a long time, agree ?And after the world war two,The UN General Assembly approved the 1947 UN Partition Plan dividing the territory into two states, with the Jewish area consisting of roughly 55% of the land, and the Arab area roughly 45%. Jerusalem was planned to be an international region administered by the UN to avoid conflict over its status.Following the State of Israel's establishment, the armies of Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, and Iraq joined the fighting and began the Arab–Israeli War.

I heard this joke once:
The leader of the Israelis and the leader of the Palestinians sit down to discuss a peace plan. The leader of the Israelis asks if he can begin with a story, to which the other leader agrees. The Israeli says, "When Moses was about to cross into the land that God had given him, a Palestinian snuck up and stole the Ten Commandments..."
The Palestinian interrupted, "Impossible! There were no Palestinians back then!"
The Israeli then said, "Now that we have that settled, let us begin the talks."

I read your comment, and I know the Jewish people go back to King David for justifying their presence in Palestine/Israel. Who lived where two thousand years ago should have no bearing on who lives where today.
Before 1948, Palestinians had lived in that area for a long time. When the Jews moved in, the Palestinians were kicked out of their homes. That's why they say the Jews stole the land from the Palestinians.
The war started because the Arab nations and peoples in the region didn't want the Jews to steal the land and uproot the people who lived there.

You are totally wrong.
Forget biblical "history" - can you imagine what would happen if the descendents native americans reclaimed all the areas they lost to immigrants in recent centuries or the scottish descendents of people driven off their land during the Highland clearances of the 18th century returned to claim their land. Few people now live where their tribes lived in ancient times.
For centuries before WW1 the jews did not control Palestine , it was part of the Turkish Empire.
There was a small jewish community living among the majority of christian and muslim arabs with no problem. Most of the other jews had dispersed to other parts of the world generations before.
In the 19th century a movement began among certain European jews to reclaim land in Palestine to get away from persecution by christians in Europe. This was called Zionism and these jews were called Zionists. Most jews did not support this.
When Britain was fighting Turkey in WW1 it promised independence to the arabs in return for military support and it promised the jews a homeland of their own in Palestine in return for financial support ( the Foreign Secretary at the time being a jew). This was called the Balfour declaration and it was made clear that the establishment of this homeland could not in any way affect the religious and political rights of the arabs.
Neither promise was kept
After the defeat of Turkey their empire in the Middle East was broken up and the League of Nations gave a mandate to Britain to administer Palestine, Jordan and Iraq. France got the same for Syria and Lebanon.
Between WW1 and WW2 there was increased jewish immigration into Palestine which caused some resentment from the local population similar to the situation today between americans and mexicans
After the Nazi holocaust of WW2 thousands of surviving jews entered Palestine from Europe as illegal immigrants
They formed terrorist gangs and carried out many atrocities against both the British and the indigenous population.
The most notorious of these was the bombing of the King David Hotel in Jerusalem(90 dead) They also took hostages and executed them just as the terrorists in Iraq do today.
The British left in 1948 and the terrorists formed a government and declared the state of Israel.
They then carried out a policy of ethnic cleansing against the christian and muslim arabs many of whom fled to refugee camps in Gaza and Jordan, others were massacred, sometimes whole villages.
The jews also attacked the neighbouring arab countries who tried to intervene.
In 1956 they invaded Egypt as part of a secret agreement with Britain and France to sieze the Suez Canal.
In 1967 they attacked Egypt, Syria and Jordan and siezed large areas of their land.
In 1973 the arab countries retaliated but were badly beaten after initial successes.
In all of these enterprises the jews were supported by the USA as they are today.
The UN has made many mistakes in its past but the resolution you refer to was probably one of the worst and has left us with the horrible mess today.
No account was taken of the prior claim of the arabs or the methods by which the jews had achieved dominance.
It suited both the most powerful members of the security council , the USA and USSR because the former relied on jewish votes in presidential elections and the latter thought the Israeli government which was socialist would be favourable to it. Britain was just glad to be rid of the whole affair.
But don't forget the religious element in all this - that is why there is no solution.

Do some research on Haganah. I am a supporter of Israel, but the return of David's people to their homeland is a story of great pain for those who were already there.
That is perhaps the single most important thing that Arabs want us to know.
Imagine if you will that the Huron, the Ottawas, the Cherokees, the Choctaws, the Seminoles decide that they should have back their ancestral homes....what then....Should the UN assist in the creation of their nations???

you could not very possibly base this over who the land was once promised to in view that now not each and every man or woman believes in the full "the land grew to become into as quickly as promised to the jews" factor. now not each and every man or woman has the same non secular ideals. for this reason the it belongs to the palestinians. The zionists have been wrong of their incontrovertible fact that palestine was once "a land and not utilising a human beings for a human beings with no land" and the Belfour announcement wherein the british signed palestine over to the jews will could desire to be recognized null- and void. I quote: ""His Majesty's government view with want the corporation in Palestine of a countrywide residing for the Jewish persons, and could use their super endeavors to facilitate the fulfillment of this merchandise, it being needless to say understood that not something would be performed which will prejudice the civil and non secular rights of cutting-edge non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political acceptance enjoyed by ability of Jews in yet another united states of america." the belfour fact needless to say states that palestine is given to the Jews on the subject the "not something could be achieved that could prejudice the civil and non secular rights of exitsting non-Jewish communities in Palestine" Israel has already broken that settlement one hundred cases over. And one final factor- it is a great deal universal that israel broke the quit hearth on november 4, 2008 so Hamas as an elected political team had the astounding to retaliate. Cheers : )

actually to my knowledge, beside UN dividing the lands, palastines start selling their lands and home to jews and isreals even before 1948. So palastines really don't lose their lands without their agreements like they claim. Also isreals tried to make peace so many times, but they failed. one more thing about isreals, when they got the land their was not natural resourse of water so they had to dig wells and get water from the ground and after doing all the work. isreals offered palastines to give them a portion of the water, but Plastines refuesed because they claimed it their land, and how can isreals come and sell them the water that it is in their lands. ALthought all isreals are the one who bought all the equipements and did all the work.

Because they did stole the land.
But hey stealing and cheating is the currency of the world , so why the bloody hell not
let's just wipe the entire population of the planet and pretend like it never happened.
Is it too much to ask that a thief admits to his sin and feel sorry..?
I feel sorry for you,...you don't know WTF you are talking about.
