i was not just speaking about myself but others too. i felt a level of shut-up being written instead of a caring reply with serve him his dinner and sit with him. i can't get him away from anything to eat and neither can his kids. it is frustrating and i wanted some comfort

I went back and looked at your question and the answers. I didn't see any mean answers there, just honest opinions. There was one that was stronger than the others, "Some maturity is needed here", I take it that this is the one you meant. She is talking about the hubby, you know. And since you are the one complaining about him, I can't see where you would take offense at that. "he won't eat when I want to eat." "he doesn't understand that I'm not a morning person" What exactly were you wanting to hear? The one who said that you should serve him his dinner in front of the TV or computer? C'mon, girl, wake up.

You don't need comfort, you need a backbone. Quit whining about this man. Fix dinner for yourself and the kids. Tell him it's on the table. If he won't bother to come to even fix a plate to take back to the computer, then when dinner is over, clean up, and put things away. He's on his own. You are not his servant. Quit acting like it. You are enabling his behavior. Stop!
