Red typically symbolizes passion or love. Yellow symbolizes friendship. People wear white roses on Mother's Day to memorialize a mother who has passed to the Other Side. Pink roses are neutral. It is safe to send those without committing to love, but they are more significant symbolically than yellow.
Symbolizim aside, I think the Peace rose (yellow with pink tips) is by far the prettiest.
