I agree with the patience, and time. You have to heal any wounds that have been opened. I was there with my mom for years (unfortunately) for crap I pulled as a kid/teen and the way I treated her and it took until my mid 20's and the birth of my son to reconcile the relationship...we are now as close as ever. Like great friends. Just don't give up, and don't revert back to any of the things you used to do that hurt your relationship to begin with..you only have 1 mom and she only has 1 you!!

I love you, Mom is something that most mothers want to hear, but they also want to see actions that say this, like offering to help and seeing things that need to be done and doing them without being asked and not expecting anything in return for a good deed.
Try to talk to your mother and I wish you good luck.

Try to take it a moment at a time, in this moment do the next right thing. It can becoming overwhelming when you imagine saying and doing everything perfectly, just try and say and show kindness to your mother. The fact you are showing concern for her feelings shows your coming a long way.

Sounds like you and your mom need some time to get out of the house and spend time together. Set a date with her and prove to her that you want to be around her

maybe ask her to play a board game or cards. ask her for her opinion. write her a letter. Send her a card, get a picture of you and her when you were little or now and put it in a nice frame and give it to her. Pick her flowers, ask her if she wants to go on a walk. Spend time and if she tries to argue tell her that you dont want to argue you just want to spend time iwith her, and for you and her to get to know each other better. find something she is interested in and try doing that with her

Talk to her let her know how you feel the more you talk the more she will know. When me and my step son don't get along if he just talks to me it doesn't even have to be about anything important just him taking the time to sit and talk then all the bad starts to go away. I love my talks with him and the more we talk the easier it gets.

Take her out to lunch and have a long serious talk. Apologize for your past actions and ask for another chance. Good luck.
