I'm looking for an artist who did a slow hauntingly beautiful rendition of Madonnas' song "Don't Tell Me" help

I think its Cassandra Wilson but I'm not sure. I heard it at work but when I look up the song most of the time it lists Avril Lavine and Madonna. I know it's neither. The Lyrics are the same but just much slower and melancholy.

I heard it also on a playlist in a Starbucks and the barrista told me that the song was called, "Let it Fall". I don't know, I just love the song. Does someone know who sings this? The lyrics are the same as the Madonna song.

I think i have found the right rendition:

The song was originally written and recorded by Joe Henry, and titled Stop.

Madonna then recorded it under the name "Don't Tell Me"

Lizz Wright does a slowed down jazzy version of "Stop" on her 2005 album "Dreaming Wide Awake"
