How do you know if your nose is broken?!?!?!? Please give me an answer that is not it hurts...Because it hurts soooooooo bad!!! But, i'm not sure if its broken or not? please help!

First of all -- did it bleed a short while and then stop? That would be a sign it is broken. The blood flow will be blocked.

The standard answer -- but it is true -- is that the only way to be positively sure, other than the things I said above -- is to go get an X-ray done.

As you recover, you'll have a couple of black eyes and some swelling. You'll ice it and it will be OK> But be sure to get the precautionary stuff done for yourself, by a physician.

Don't mess around with it. It can be serious.

The only way to tell for sure is to see a doctor and have an X-ray done. Your nose could be broken without it looking the least bit crooked or anything. You may very well have a tear in the bone at the top part of your nose, and you won't be able to tell without an X-Ray (I had one myself once).

Fortunately however, if your nose is not crooked, then it doesn't usually really matter if its broken. A doctor would probably just advise you to be careful with it, and not touch it too much, and it will heal by itself after a couple of weeks.
