My brother will have the opportunity to ask President Bush one question. To my knowledge, it can be on just about any topic. He recently obtained a White House fellowship and will be in DC for a year. He wanted to know what I would ask, and now I want to know what you would ask!

Unfortunately you are probably going to get some real nasty and/or ignorant replys. Fear not. Your brother was smart enough to win this opportunity. He'll be smart enough to come up with an intelligent well thought -out question. Why not sit down with him and your folks, and discuss it? The question should come from his heart, his intellect. Good luck to him and I think it is very nice of you to be so supportive of your brother.

I have no specific question for your brother to ask. But there is something you should keep in mind. It should be a well thought out and detailed question. Something that he wants to know tfrom the president personally, that the media really isn't satisifing him on. Something that could get Bush caught in a tangle if he is not careful.

I would ask "Why aren't our troops given the same basic protections that every criminal in the USA has, instead to be sent into war with a gun and no bulletproof vests or proper armour on thier vehicles?"

Tell him we back him up 100% -

Does he consider himself above his soldiers?

Would he personally do anything that he has ordered the military to do?

Those two questions will tell you everything about a commander, but you should pick one that you think more important.

Tell your brotehr that the best question he can ask his one from his own heart, not from the minds of countless oehrs. If he really wants to gain something from this, he will do it for himself, not for the world around him that he has yet to begin to fully undersand.

Hey, Autumn, where's your cool sun avatar? Oh dear, I don't think I could actually ask that man one question. I'd have such an itching to turn him over my knee and paddle him for lying. I do agree partially with AMM but I'd phrase it "How stupid can one MAN be?" He makes me so angry....
