If it's a sporty model, yellow. If it's a luxury car, grey. If it's a normal 4 seater, black.

Red is the safest as others will see it first. Believe it or not, white is usually the easiest to keep clean and also the coolest if you live someplace hot. Black is the opposite of white. It's the hardest to keep clean and the warmest if you live someplace cold. Metalic colors like silver, bronze, gold, etc. tend to fade in the sun and need to be repainted sooner than others. People who buy used cars usually have to buy based on ther things besides color. If you get a new one, just get one that matches your shoes and you'll be ok.

A police officer friend of mine admitted that they usually "aim" at the red cars with their speed guns. It is supposedly a documented fact that owners of red cars always drive faster. White or yellow is claimed to be the "safest" as you can see them from farther away. Black really shows the dirt. Silver doesn't show dirt as much. So...depending on your age.....

White exterior--cooler, cleaner, looks better longer
NEVER GOLD OR ANYTHING with brownish or yellow hue...NEVER LOOKS GOOD WHEN it is old
Black is hot, but that's the problem...it's HOT(hold heat)
Never leather seat...too hot, way too cold
