Hey guys... I am a 22 yr old lesbian. I have known I have been attracted to woman since I was in the 2nd grade. I am in a relationship now for the past year but sometimes I can't help to think that it would be so much easier to be straight. I could never live that life but I feel like I am constantly under the worlds magnifing glass. Has anyone ever felt this way?

Listen... If you don't like gays or lesbians or people of a certain kind... then to avoid the little demon inside you to come spewing hatred ... don't answer or bother reading questions that don't concern your uselessness. Thanks =)))))))

They say ignorance is bliss. If we can turn off our brains and our emotions, then life would surely be easier.
It also went through my mind some years ago that being straight would have been easier. And being more dumb would certainly have made my relationships work better. Sometimes even not having a personality at all would make life run smoother.

in the end, i look around, and im glad for everything.
You will realise the amounts of incredible people u will meet, the things u will get to know, that other wise u would have not.

I'm 3 years older than you, and believe me, ive lived those 3 years as if it were a straight decade (10 straight years, dont get me wrong:P)

It would be easier for u if u were straight, but it wouldn't be you in the end, right?
So go for it, show who you really are, and leave your mark in the magnifying glass. Some people would also not forgive u if they wouldnt get to meet you, and that makes them glad for not being straight also^^
Life is only worth living when we actually feel alive.

iwhen i was younger i prayed to God to stop having feelings towards the same sex cos i know that this is just not rite. And my family is religious and i dont wanna dissapoint them, and at the same time i dont want everyone thinking i'm a freak. some people tend to think that way towards us, dont they? It really sucks.
Now at 24 and working, makes it so damn hard to live like this--to hide this feelings and desires. i cant even spot a les anywhere! sure there's lots of eye contact from the girls i've been staring admiringly, but then, thats it. if there were really a lesbian i was staring at. I just do anything bout it. i cant come out to her and say, 'hey i'm nora, can i have ur contact no. n maybe we can dinner together?' that's just odd n i know she'll run away in a blink of an eye. hmph.

It would be so much easier to be straight. It blows my mind away how bigoted people could actually think we could just decide to become straight one day. You can turn a transformer toy into a car, a boat or an air plane. A person can learn mathematics or portugese. But your sexual orientation is something you are born with and there is nothing you can do about it.

What's easier about it? And while I suppose I could marry a woman, it wouldn't make me straight, nor would it make you straight to marry a man. Everyone I know that's married in the past 10 years is either getting divorced or is underdoing extreme marital difficulties (to the point where both husband and wife are dating other people). I'll pass.

I'm living it right now bec. I'm not out yet and I gotta tell you it is so freakin' hard. My family doesn't know I'm gay, only my bestfriends and hiding like this is driving me nuts, everyday. Yes, being straight is easier coz you just go with the flow of what society is and dictates... but I'm not straight, I'm just living this so-called "straight" life now and hopefully someday, I can muster up the courage to really come out of the closet, when I'm definitely ready.

I know it should be hard because that's not what we were taught as kids. But, it life and if you like it people need to accept it. Dont worry about how they feel or what they are thinking. You have to live for you. If you find yourself puzzled about being straight or gay, just test the water to see. Sometimes we need to find ourselves and it's a part of life.

I'm bisexual and for a while I thought I could just ignore that side of myself and play it straight, but it doesn't work. Trying to be something you're not is going to ring a lie, no matter how you spin it. You feel better being who you are, harder road or not. The truth is the only way to be happy.

Oh yeah and Eve was framed. lol.

Why do all gay people try to prove that they're really gay by saying how they've liked the opposite sex since they were little?
I think you guy's are under a "magnifying glass" because being a homosexual is unnatural and people are interested in seeing weird and different things.

You're living your life for you, not for anyone else.

But yeah, I've always wondered about my friends when I was in highschool so I was so worried to come out of the closet. It would be easier to just be accepted, but it's better to be accepted for who you are then who you're not.

I sound like an afterschool special. :(

sometimes i wish im straight cuz it hurts to hear ppl talking about gay people in the harmful way like " they going to hell " i dont think we're gona go to hell. if theres something that can make you straight will u take it? my heart tells me no....people hates gay people just because of the fact that they are gay no matter how nice you are or how rich you are. ppl will still hate you because you're gay which is stupid.
