How do you put your avatar on the screen next to your question?

please help i hate that stupid smiley face and everything i try dosent work

click "My Q&A" on the upper-right side of this window.
click on "Edit my info"
Scroll down and select whether or not you want an avatar, then follow the prompts to set it up.

click it, go to ure profile click the smiley face, then u can either upload a real pic or make a avatar like mine.
