Wikipedia is a good encyclopedia.

Yahoo and Google are NOT research sites. They are just search engines for the Internet. Your school may have a list of electronic research resources that you can log onto. These are better than using just Google or Yahoo..

Other Search engines.

Of course there are plenty of search engines around besides the 2 you mentioned. You might want to add MSN to your list as well to catch whatever Google and Yahoo misses. These 3 top search engines should be pretty sufficient. Don't forget the online encyclopedia Wikipedia (http://www.wikipedia.org) too, it's quite useful for some fast facts and figures.

Depends on what you are researching but there are the usual search engines of google and yahoo and alltheweb.

However, try going to National Geographic or The History Channel depending on your subject.

Google has the best tools for researching.
But Ask is also excellent, and Wikipedia.org!
