What is it about these laughable and baseless 9/11 conspiracy theories that attracts the simple minded?

Seriously now, there isn't one shred of scientific evidence to back up these pathetic conspitracy stories, I've checked them out in depth and found that either there is absolutly no scientific foundation to them or they are outright fabrications. Somehow people that couldn't count to eleven without taking a shoe off are enamored of them, just as with the Protocols of Zion in earlier days, and are always posting questions where in they claim that two plus two equals three and then daring anyone to contradict them. What is it about these laughable fabrications that the dimmest among us find so believable?

twenty five answers and some are very thoughtful and others are nothing more than retards crowding up to be bar to drink the spiked "Loose Change" cool-aid. A nod to the person who pointed out that I had looked into the conspiracy fraud in depth and also described the true believers, who eat sleep and breath this stuff as simple minded. A bit of a contradiction there. On the hole I am heartened that there are as many sane folk out there who also marvel at the silly little freaks who believe these silly, baseless, and laughable conspiracy stories. Oh, as an aside,,,was that one fellow trying to suggest that the eruption of Mt. St. Helens was also part of a government conspiracy? Boggles the mind!

I simply was asking about some reasons why these planes were so obliterated, and I get nothing but diatribe. This is your response which, if I may say, is totally superficial, then you launch into your red herring, which doesn't address the argument AT ALL.:

I think it's because simple things which could debunk them immediately are not made available to the public. For instance, why can't we see the video from the Virginia DOT camera that recorded Flight 77's track into the Pentagon??

Why won't the FBI release it??

I for one don't believe the conspiracy theories about 9/11, but clearly pieces of key evidence are kept from the American people. Why??? Images of Flight 77 roaring over the beltway would be incredible if not also equally horrifying, but we see the images of the planes hitting the twin towers again and again. Why not release the tape??

I already don't trust my government....why do they keep giving more reasons not too?

Hey, you might think you are justified in your callouse sounding question. As for me, as soon as I come out of shock, I'm going straight into jet lag. The facts that Lincoln & JFK were murdered, the Atomic/Nuclear bombs dropped in Japan, Jews gassed wholesale, Serbs/Chetchkieans cleaning ethniclly, earthquakes, tsunamis, MountStHelens, wars on drugs, wars on terror, wars that are only 'policing actions', would make any mind the 'simple' one. Must be nice to be so content in the ideas that there's nothing sinister going on. Laughable, believable, simple? There are more reasons to speculate about things like the President of the United States getting a hummer in the White House instead of starving masses around the planet? Yeah, we conspiricy theorists are indeed laughable & simple!

i am all ways a sceptic first but in reviewing the video of the plane crashing into the towers to me and ive flown on lots of comerical jets in my day dont look like any comercial jets to me first there color is gray and no markings at all comerical jets have makings and in the video you should be able to determin them but all you see are gray plane no american airline or whatever airline they where paint scheme and the windows on the plane where non existant so if you ask me they where KC-11 or older airforce full tankers loaded with jet full so as to increase the tempurature of the flames to melt the frame of the towers and where not passenger jets now the question to ask is where are the passengers and the real jets? review the video and see you cannot prove to anyone that they where infact the passenger jets they where reported as being from just the video footage who would let them selfs be high jacked by a guy with a box cutters come on i would have took a few minor cuts and beat the living **** out of them with my carry on bag or my wing tip shoe if i had to i aint buying it Now your going to tell me if you was on a plane and all the terrorist had was a box cutter with a one inch long blade you would let him crash the plane and kill you with him bullshit the only way he could kill you is if he cut your throat all you have to do is get take a carry on bag with a strap on it and beat the **** out of said terrorist with it or take your belt of and wack him with the buckle right in the face come one man you dont really think you can high jack a plane with a box cutter do you if you do you are the most simple minded fool to believe such a thing

If we didn't have such a cowardly media in this country, perhaps thorough investigations would uncover the truths.
What is it that makes YOU believe you're brighter than the "dimmest among us" when there are at least two misspellings and one grammatical error in your poorly-constructed sentence?
Why is it possible for you to believe that a lone gunman killed JFK with almost uncanny accuracy and that the resulting Warren Commission couldn't possibly have been a government cover-up?
Why is it possible for you to believe that the 9-11 tragedy was a terrorist attack instead of an event staged by our own United States government to deliberately involve us in a 'war' with Saddam Hussein just we could eventually control Iraq's supply of OIL?
Why is it that only those people who "couldn't count to eleven without taking a shoe off" are the only people who seem to be willing to at least question the government's stark, pat, orderly explanations of everything?
(Yet, I'll bet you any amount of money you can afford to lose that you sincerely believe that the Clinton administration had something to do with Vince Foster's death). The fact is people believe what they want to believe....and if you're conservative, you're more brainwashed into believing the government line that's distributed to Rush Limbaugh, Shawn Hannity, Bill O'Reilly and Ann Coulter so that can force-feed the "news" to a gullible American public, willing to accept anything these cretins say as gospel, just as Hitler's followers believed in his wicked propaganda during the evil reign of Nazi terrorism. Now we have the evil reign of Bush terrorism, complete with a corrupt administration that leaks information to the press when it fits its agenda, then tries to censor the press when something gets published that Bush wants to keep secret. That's against our Constitution.
If the Fourth Estate was doing its job of protecting us from an oppressive and tyrannical government, serious questions might legitimately be raised about the 9-11 disaster. For example: why did government airplanes immediately evacuate numerous Saudi Arabian citizens from the U.S. as soon as the World Trade Center twin towers were bombed? Did George H.W. Bush, 41st U.S. President and a principal in the Carlyle Group (a consultancy firm dealing with Mideast oil interests) accept a $2.5 million investment in his company from a family by the name of binLaden? Does the binLaden, indeed, own a huge compound outside of Orlando, Florida (and could Osama binLaden have been flown into the country on a private U.S.A. jet right after 9-11, and might he still be residing there today?)?
These are all legitimate questions; there have been books written about these issues, and rumors abound as to these circumstances. Yet, the lackadaisical media refuses to make any thorough, comprehensive investigation to see if any of these rumors are true OR false.
Our founding fathers warned about putting too much trust in the government. They came from an environment where they were not allowed to worship freely, where the press was controlled, and where you could be tried for treason if you spoke out publicly against the monarchy.
There IS a legitimate place in our society for hard questioning and solid investigation of our government and its activities. If we choose to neglect to do that and put our blind faith in everything the government tells us, we are doomed to once again be ruled by an oligarchy who will only be inclined to serve its own interests instead of the interests of the people.
