Im 16, have been singing in local community events, singing the national anthem at local baseball games and such, singing at church, am in chorus and have been in musicals (lead roles and supporting roles), and i need to know what to do next, since music is something i know i want to pursue as a career. please only serious answers.

There is no jump start. Keep performing. The more exposure you get the better your chances that someone will find you and want to develop your career. Talk to your guidence counsler for ideas. You can try for a collage that has a great music theatre program. If that is not an option there are many local theatre companies that would love to have you. You will not make any money but the experience is invaluable. Don't give up. Sing and act for the joy it gives you and the audience. There is an old joke about a young person coming to New York looking for fame and asking for directions to Carnegie Hall for a possible try-out. The young person asks a person on the street, "How to I get to Carnegie Hall?". The answer is, "Practice!". I wish you luck.

record yourself with a karaoke machine or computer program (audacity.com) and let people hear you.show people you have what it takes. send demo tapes/cds around, they will eventually fall in the right hands. you could even audition in ca or ny. if it's meant to be it will happen and just don't give up. you can do it!!!!
