yes lucas owns the whole concept, and is very strict about people using his stuff. a few years back he blocked a medical equipment company from calling a surgical laser a light saber.the 1st reply mentioned those movies, they were obviously homages and they had to get permission
and not call them that name.there's also wierd al's UHF where michael richards swings his mop around and it makes the sound.
the one exception blows my mind. ever heard of this show bibleman?its maybe the worst show ever made. I sat through a few minutes and it was painful.he has a yellow sword (bible sword??)and bad costume.I don't how this show gets away with it. maybe he doesn't want to be publicly seen as this big monster sueing a poor little christian tv channel

It exchange into large to bop with somebody i did no longer tower over whilst donning 4" heels, making me purely over 6' tall! i've got observed his profession and Darth Vader character with interest. He could have been the large Vader, yet he could no longer darn a hollow in a sock!

Because it just doesn't make sense for people who have access to guns (laser or otherwise) to be fighting with swords.
