I don't know of any laptop made today that includes a built-in floppy drive. They've been replaced with CD-RW drives or DVD-RW drives. If you don't have a floppy drive and you only have a CD-ROM drive (perhaps on a low end laptop) you should at least have a USB port. If that's the case, just use a USB drive (capacities from 32MB-4GB) to get data off your system.
As for the printer port, also called a parallel port, some laptops have them, some don't. Most modern printers use USB anyway so assuming again that you have a USB port, connect your printer to that and you're fine.

Older laptops used to have both floppy drives and printer sockets, but new ones usually don't come with them.
Your computer does most likely has a usb port. You can use a usb drive instead of a floppy. Also, most newer printers can be connected to your laptop through the usb port as well.

Fewer modern laptops have printer ports or floppy drives because they take up space that could be used for other things. If your laptop has several USB ports, you can buy USB to parallel(printer) and a USB floppy drive.
Unless you have an old computer with no USB ports that you need to transfer data to, I recommend getting a flash drive and using it instead of the floppy because flash drives hold more data, are faster, and many new computers don't have floppy drives.

Yes laptops have both of those but sometimes a laptop comes with a CD drive instead of a floppy. It is usually interchangeable with a floppy drive that you might have to buy separately if it did not come with your laptop.
All laptops come with a socket for a printer. It is usually a parallel port. You might want to look up that plug on the internet to see a picture of it. If it is not a parallet port it is a USB port.

Most laptop now do not come with a floppy drive becuase those are out of date. but you could buy a floppy drive and attach it to your computer through the USB plug. And most printer still use the socket that can be plugged only into the desktop computer, you will need tp buy a adapter to be able to plug it into your laptop. Almost all stuff, printer, copiers, etc that you wanna use on your laptop you need to be sure that they have USB cords.

Floppy drives pretty much went out with the concept of accountability and integrity in our elected officials. Around the time Bush went into office, the floppys went out of the computers. Seems like a conspiracy to me.
Anyway, why would you want one? 1.44 MB of storage? You can get an external floppy drive that plugs into a USB port on your laptop, but for the same amount or less, you can get a flash drive (thumb drive, USB drive, jump drive, lots of names) in 1GB or larger sizes.
As for a 'socket' for the printer, I am presuming you mean a parallel port, and those have pretty much gone the way of the dodo, too. Most printers come in USB now. You can get a parallel to USB adapter, but I've never much liked them.
That's my take on your question, hope it helps.

No, because floppy disks are being run out (even new computers these days dont have them). usb drives (jump drives) are being used more these days because floppy disks are too big and don't have enough space in them anyways. as for a socket for a printer, most new printers dont use specific sockets. they use usb ports, so they aren't making them in new laptops.
i know, i just bought a new laptop a week ago.

The printer should have a USB cord to connect to the computer which should also have a USB port, but no, most laptops do NOT have floppy drives anymore. They're obsolete.

the latest models especially those come in smaller size usually doesn't have a floppy-disk drive built-in (who needs this anyway?).
as for the socket for the printer, most printers are now using usb port. if you have an older type of printer, you may want to get yourself a parellel port-to-usb port cable.
you can always get an external floppy-disk drive if you insist. but I would recommend you to get a thumbdrive/pendrive, it's more convenient, has more storage and can hook up to your usb port.
