I don't understand why the news can't stress the good things happening in the world. There are so many good people out there helping the poor and doing great things but they never make the news.

I don't like it, in fact I won't let my daughter watch the News (but she can watch MOST cartoons)

My Mom and I joke about it, "And now it's time for the bad news..."

I guess you, me and my Mom are the only ones who are looking for good news - everyone else just likes watching car wrecks!!!

The media is stuck on sensationalism. Good news does not seem to get high ratings. The more bizarre or gory a story line is the greater market share it seems to catch. Fox and CNN both use about 10 minutes of news to cover 3 or 4 hours by repeating the stories all the time. The other24 hour so called news channels also repeat to much instead of putting some good news among the repeats.

No one would watch if it were all positive news. It's all about ratings. People want to see devastation, crime, wrecks, anything bad.
