The hovering card is very simple. You take a very fine strand of specially made thread which you can attach to the back of your ear with scotch tape. The other end can be stuck to the back of a card with a substance called magicians wax. You can control the card with one hand and spin it with the other. If done carefully, you can float heavier objects like credit cards.

Most magic seems very mundane when you know how it is done- especially if you just want to know the trick, rather than knowing how to do the trick for others.

He uses a little fine peice of string (whatever) that is called angel hair. It is so fine you typically can not see it. My dad learned the trick in Vegas.
