I am moving there in the spring, and have no clue as to what is a good or favorable, yet affordable area. Any suggestions?

No, not Beacon Hill! That is probably the most expensive area in Boston. Well, I hope you have an idea of how much apartments cost here, they are very expensive...if you want to be in Boston, I'll tell you some of the less expensive areas are Jamaica Plain, Dorchester, Hyde Park, and Roslindale. You can try the North End, sometimes there are good deals. Go on craigslist.org and check out the apartment prices to get an idea. Just search under apts...there are plenty to choose from. You have to remember, there aren't a lot of favorable AND affordable areas here, it's kind of an oxymoron :P Good luck! Feel free to contact me if you have anymore questions! I would be happy to help.
