When you find out please let me know, zits suck, well i hardly call mine zits, its more like a chronic case of acne - and right now after all my own remedies and online advice have failed I am patiently waiting for an appointment with a Dermatologist who will hopefully have something for me.

But everyone is different and what did not work for me might work for you, so there are many over the counter products with benezoyl peroxide which are effective against acne. And although there is no sound proof that what you eat causes acne, you should avoid oily, greasy. sugary foods and especially foods that you know will cause you zits.

Get yourself a good face-wash like clearasil which is also helpful in fighting zits, because it does what soap doesnt (plus soap is very harsh on the skin and so you shouldn't use it in excess) and even less when you have acne.

But from my own experience the best advice I can give you is to go straight to the doctor and get started on the acne treatment ladder before it gets worse, or even worse than that: Scars, like mine is starting to.

Wash your face with facial soap and water 2 times a day and anytime it gets really oily. Use astringent twice a day as well. Make-up can make brak-outs worse. There are several medications that a dermatologist can prescribe, but for me, it just took time. I had major break-outs from age 7 to 19. When I got pregnant with my first child at 19, my face cleared up like magic!

Before you go and buy some kind of cleanser, please try taking vitamins. I went through an acne stage and NOTHING worked to get rid of them. I started taking a women's mulitvitamin, and in a week or so they were gone. I haven't gotten one pimple since and I sometimes fall asleep with makeup on my face. Just make sure to take a men or women's multivitamin (whichever you are) and follow the directions. Drink plenty of water as well.

Dermatologists can usually prescribe you something that can get rid of it. I have found that Oil Of Olay face wash followed by oil of olay night cream works for me. I only do it at night.

run your very hot shower.....you don't have to get in it. just make sure the door is closed to the bathroom. just sit there for like 15-20 minutes...let the hot steam open your pores.....after 15 minutes use noxema pads.....you'll clear up within 18 hrs.
