Hmm.. Im confused.... The bible says that homosexuality is an obomination and that you WILL go to hell for it.... But the bible also says that eating crab and lobster will send you to hell aswell?.... I think that their are alot of things wrong in the bible... The bible was written by the word of god by men... Men arent perfect.. How do we know that homosexuals go to hell?....

Remember that the Bible consists of both the Old and the New Testament. The Old Testament reflects the perspective of a male-dominated tribal people whose image of God was wrathful, vengeful, vindictive and even a bit ruthless (think of Abraham, Job, and Sodom and Gemorrah). The New Testament, on the other hand, depicts a kindly, loving and forgiving God, the one Christians accepted as the Messiah. The Old Testament governs by fear, the New, by the desire to please.

Jewish dietary laws often codified a real need, sometimes a moral absolute, and occasionally nothing more than social cohesion.

As far as heaven and hell are concerned, I suppose you have to believe in them, which I don't; I think we make our own heavens and hells right here on earth. But I find it incredible that a loving and forgiving God would condemn anyone for a sexual orientation that he did not choose.

And for those of you that still think homosexuality is a "lifestyle choice," ask yourself this: what was the date when you woke up one morning and decided to be heterosexual?

leviticus 11:9-12 does say that the shrimp is abomination,
and leviticus 18:22 does also say the gay sex is an abomination

but in the hebrew the verse 22 it really said dirty

and in matthew 15 jesus says whats wrong with you people if it wont defile you if you eat it but if your immorral it will defile you

my point is, people were dieing from eating the shrimp cause of iodine, so the mechanism of human government said heh lets write a law about it

and jesus was awesome he was like dude come on this is stupid dont eat fish and go to hell nonsense but heh dont be having orgies cause that aint cool ,

so then after he died some people wrote this book about him coming back from the dead and cry me a river

but to be technical, about what the history of this book is, which i agree is man made, is the homosexual it says dirty in the hebrew, and jesus in matthew 15 removes the dietary restriction,

so theres still no god but we can still understand whats going on so can we share this with the theists please so they stop being all up in everyones business

Hey, I'm no theologian, hardly know much at all about the bible but do understand the two testaments, Old & New. It's my limited understanding & unbridled faith which leads me to think that while Homosexuality & Eating Lobster may be abominations, with faith, acceptance of Christ & redemptive actions, these shortcomming may be washed clean as the driven snow. 8) I suspect that all abominations, known & unknown, will send us directly to 'hell'. Our only redemption is the acceptance of the gift of our Christ Jesus to cleanse our abominations. 'How do we know...?' ~ I think you already know! If I gotta splain it, ya wouldn't understand. :(
