feeling... thats honesty, it's an opinion as you express an opinion.
Be rude back if you want to. I would just ignore. An opinion is an opinion, not necessarily viewed the same. This made me think and question my opinions, I would never want to upset anyone, but I'm honest in as I feel. Agree to disagree often eases things, unless it's really outlandish then you do what's best for you... tell 'em to go get the hedgehog off the line.??I didn't understand it either, neither will they!lol.
An action causes a reaction.. you have to live with it after all. Peace to you,

I confronted someone once and basically just told her that we needed to agree to disagree ...and avoid eachother's questions. So far, so good. There are A LOT of rude people here. They lack tact and manners and you know they'd never speak to you in person the way they do here. It's like they feel like they can get away with being tough punks on here because they know we can't reach thru the computer and smack 'em around. Everyone's a hot shot when they're hiding behind a computer and screen....

Yeah it is if you really care what a bunch of people that are being smart ***** say on the internet. If its a comment that you need to follow up on go ahead, but its the internet and the person who made the comment could be a 12 yr old kid in Austria, or your next door neighbor. Who cares its the internet for every dumb comment their are usually 10 great ones.

Until the end of your question, I thought you were referring to real life. I was going to say, of course, that's exhibiting healthy self respect.
However, this is not real life. It takes zero guts around here to be confrontational. Who gives a rip if somebody has something rude to say to you around here? I'm quite sure we all have enough natural drama in our own lives than to try and invent some based on some comment around here.
You sound pretty together, don't let what goes on here give you a moment's pause, unless you are treated with respect and are given a quality answer.

The other day I saw a question 'What is your favourite pastime' or something like that.
One of the answers was to blow kittens up with firecrackers.
I found that sickening and that person hides as they do not receive correspondence.
That is a case for REPORT.
Didn't work though, answer was not deleted.
Some people report for no reason, I have to be really offended before I do it.
What was your question?? rofl

Not sure that confronting even on the net is a good idea. If the comments are directed specifically at you, then you should respond appropriately and let the person know how you feel about it.

Sure its ok to say something back to a person that is rude to you...so long as your sure its just them being rude and not you just being sensitive to a reply that you would rather not hear....I mean they are entitled to their oppinion even if you dont like what they have to say.....but... If its obvious they are just being rude and if you dont have to put up with them often then I would make it clear that I think they are rude and then avoid having anything to do with them. Always speak out if say you work or live with them or they will keep doing it.. but be fair and calm..lol..easier said than done sometimes.

I couldn't have chosen better words! When someone says something rude, you say something back. You can't just let it go, you have to respond to their opinion. I have noticed many people on Y!A are VERY rude! They need to learn right from wrong, and know that it's not right to say rude things to strangers.

You are going to run into alot of that. Ignore it! They just want to see if they can get your dander up and then opps there comes community guidelines. Its not worth getting reported especially if you like yahoo answers...

Yeah, believe me, you should say something back. I know what you mean, because I`m a witch and those questions get a lot of prejudice feedback.
