First off, 13 is young. I know things are a lot different than when I was 13. Yes, it is very young to have a girlfriend at 13. But, I seem to remember when my children had a boyfriend at 13 and it was just going to a movie. I think if it's a platonic relationship it wouldn't be so bad. But, if you're talking being physically involved then there's a lot of dangers to a relationship being only 13; or any age. I know you're heard this before: you do have a lot of years to have many girlfriends. Be patient; it's better to wait for the right one then to have many. Good Luck!

well I'm thirteen and i know what you meen they think that you to young but yet all your other friends are your age and they have g/f nd b/f and plus they think if you have a boy that is just your friend then something is going on between you two as if you cant be Friends wit a boy without there being some thing going on between yous at the same time i under stand but they need to trust us more because the more them saying we must not do it and yet our friends are the more we want to do it

Maybe 30! Just kidding, your parents are just protective.
Maybe if they see that you are thinking for yourself and not following the crowd or if they see that you take care of things without having to be told. They might come around. Don't expect too much too quick.

It probably has to do with the fact that you are 13. Also it might be that they feel you are spending to much time with her and not enough with the rest of your family and friends. Why don't you sit down and talk to them and let them explain why they feel the eway they do and come to a compromise.

i think u can date at any age u please, but until youre a little older, dont get serious and say youre in love. u really should sit down and talk to your parents. assure them that its nothin serious and u just enjoy the girl's company. surely theyll understand and change their mind, but its not a guarantee. and youre still young, so have fun and dont ever get to serious about a relationship, just be happy with whoever youre with and have fun!!!

well im 13 so i now how parents r at this age but if u can have them as a friend then have them as a friend but 4 the g/f thing u should wait till lik atr age 15 i think well thts wut my parents tell me byut ur parents might be diff.

they might still see you as a little kid but not even a girl as a friend that is sad you should try to explaining to them that just because you have a girl as a friend doesn't mean your gonna date them, maybe you should explain to them that their lack of trust in you bothers you
